We Carefully Explain Our Fees

Fees charged by the firm are set forth at the outset of each engagement. We will explain UP FRONT our legal fees and billing procedures. Each client enters into a written contract with the firm specifying the type of fee arrangement.

There are six types of fee arrangements that we typically use: 1) Hourly rate (currently $320/hour) -- Fees depend on work actually done on case. 2) Hourly rate with Retainer (retainer paid on engagement) -- Fees depend on work actually done on case. Retainer (similar to deposit) is paid up front and is credited against office billing and other costs. 3) Project Fee (typically for estate planning, real estate, exchange & loans) -- One fee for all project related tasks. 4) Contingent Fee (typically for litigation matters) -- Fee is a percentage of amount recovered. Client does not pay if there is no recovery. 5) Mixed Contingent/Hourly Fee -- Fee is hourly rate (typically lower than normal) and percentage of amount recovered. 6) Mediation, Arbitration or Court Ordered Referee -- Hourly rate (currently $350/hour).
